The stretching or facelift has been developed to correct the wrinkles and the softness of the skin product of the natural process of aging, genetic influences and the sun exposure, among others.  This procedure consists of stretching the skin, the muscles of the face and the neck, for subsequently remove the excess of skin.  Normally a rhytidectomy is completed jointly with another facial procedure, such as eyebrows elevation or front stretching, blepharoplasty (eyelids surgery), chin augmentation, liposuction of double chin and/or rhinoplasty (nose surgery).
